Branding: University Height and Black Creek Branding

York West community had a negative brand and most people, specially the media referred to the community as Jane and Finch. The community had a very rich history and we wanted to emphasize on this in the new brand. With consultation from the community we reintroduced the original names of the two neighbourhoods, University Heights and Black Creek. The Logo emphasizes on the past and the future by showcasing a pioneer and a graduate. We also used 6 colours to showcase the diversity of the community today.

The logo is now presented on light pole banners surrounding the Steele, Keele, Finch and Jane block

Native Earth Performing Arts is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the creating, developing and producing of professional artistic expression of the Aboriginal experience in Canada. We have developed the website in order to showcase the performances of the season. Users can also access all the previous performances of Native Earth all the way back to 1982.
